Transmedia’ refers to an audience driven drama that takes place on more three platforms (on line, film, AR, VR) at the same time in the same story-verse.

What is Transmedia?

Transmedia projects usually adopt a suspension of disbelief formula in delivering the narrative. They do this by allowing audiences to engage with the story through multiple touch points, and in a way where it mimics real life — like its actually really happening. They also create a series of apps, websites and even entire platforms to enable these touch points. Dream Channel has created the following touch points

Dream Channel is a Transmedia Story

Dream Channel is presented on-line as a mysterious underground AI TV Network that steals dreams from humans and monetises them as $AIDreams. Humans (audiences) are tricked in to joining via an AI dating app (for real) . Inadvertently they give birth to an AI dream ‘character’ who generates dreams at night while they sleep. Creators wake up in the morning and are presented with a highlights reel of their characters nights activity, as well as earnings in $AIDREAMS for audience engagement. The realisation is met with a decision as whether or not to go back in and continue the story - which of course has its benefits (by earning more AI DREAMS for attention) and dangers through becoming a target for lucid dreaming assassins etc. This 'narrative' is depicted in the linear narrative digital series episodes as the key drama that the character face.
